Deja vu? No. I just happened to post two black outfits in a row. Im' not sorry, because this necklace needed to be front and center and what better way to do that than with black! One of my favorite link up parties has a statement necklace theme this week and I pulled out this lovely gift from my mom a few years ago.

Happy Sunday! Some states are still covered in snow and ice, and I hope that you are keeping safe and warm. The best thing about being snowed in is that you get to spend time with your family. I think that sometimes we get so caught up in the daily grind that we forget to slow down and really give our loved ones our undivided attention. I hope that you make memories out of these moments.

Happy Weekend! My area was not hit by the snow storm these past few days (it was in the60s!) But for those of you that did I hope that you are safe and warm in your homes with plenty of food for your families. My dad and brother are in Kentucky working and although they didn't get the worst of it, they say the roads are very icy and dangerous. 

 

I am in love with these leaves! Unfortunately, I didn't capture them in all of their colorful glory earlier this fall, they are still gorgeous!

My kids also enjoyed them, can you spot the 10 year old? :-)

 

 

 

Again, please be safe and keep warm and for those of us that didn't get the snow, Maybe next time...

Okay, I put that first picture up for fun and to get your attention, I was actually saying "Hurry! The Sun is going down!"  however, little did I know that the day after taking these photos I would wake up with Laryngitis! Completely speechless. Couldn't make a sound. I was actually not surprised, I get it at least twice a year, I was kind of frustrated with my condition. Frustrated because 90% of my job is on the phone. I also have two rambunctious  boys that I need to yell over. So for me to be speechless was not ideal.  I guess it is the only way to get me to shut my mouth... Needless to say it was not a fun 3 days for me, but a very quite and tranquil 3 days for my family....

Hello there! How has your weekend been?  Mine was great! I have a new nephew! A baby always make for a great day! Oh yeah! I think I remember. You're that lady that was really trying hard to be a good blogger right?  The one that would actually post every so often and participate in fun link up parties instead of going missing for weeks.

Ok , Good! (insert happy expression) Glad to see you too! I realize that I have been missing in action for a few weeks now (and don't think it hasn't come with guilt because of my lack of commitment to this space) I thought about it everyday as I was zooming through life and promise myself that I would try harder to post the next day... So if you accept my apology for letting life get in the way of our "screenship" (screen + friendship) I  will  make it up with a giveaway soon!

 It was absolutely beautiful last weekend around my part of the world, sunshine and temps in the 70's all Saturday long! However, due to the occasional chilly breeze I opted for a big, free flowing scarf for added cover over a sleeveless, ruffle blouse.  Perfect for playing outside with the kiddos and the doggie! (and a 17 year old photo bomber..)

Anyway, today she is featuring an ever so cute movie date night ensemble for going to see "Gravity" with her hubs.  The scarf is light enough to wear in the early evening yet voluminous enough to provide cozy warmth when leaving theaters. (personally, just thinking of that cold gust of "night" wind that hits you right in the face when you open the door into the parking lot gives me chills!)
She recently rocked this scarf here as well.
